2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间THOMASVILLE — Anyone planning to come to this community in an active shooter capacity should beware.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间“We don’t play here. The main objective is to stop the killing,” said Maj. Wade Glover, Thomasville Police Department public information officer and the agency’s active shooter training coordinator. “If you are killing people, we’re going to kill you back.”

Active shooter training in session four days this week is taking place at a vacant building on Southwestern State Hospital grounds.

“The training these people are doing is a nationwide standard,” said Jared York, a training supervisor at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Tifton.

York said training is updated regularly.

“Everything we do is updated based on what we deal with during the year,” he added.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间Glover said law enforcement does not want to have to respond to an active shooter situation, but if it happens, officers will be prepared.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间“It’s imperative that we protect our citizens and our officers,” he said. “It takes a tremendous amount of courage to get out of your vehicle and face an active shooter situation. We’re going to stop the killing as fast as possible.”

On Tuesday, Grady County Sheriff’s Office and Grady County School system security personnel participated in the training. Glover said a Bainbridge Public Safety officer also participated in active shooter training.
