2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins and 2015 AL MVP Josh Donaldson have agreed to a $92 million, four-year contract, according to a person familiar with the deal.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday night because the deal had not been announced. The contract includes a club option for a fifth season that would bring the total value to $100 million.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间The 34-year-old third baseman returned after an injury-spoiled 2018 split between Toronto and Cleveland to bat .259 with 37 homers, 94 RBIs and a .900 OPS for Atlanta last year. He earned $23 million on a one-year deal with the Braves, his lone season in the NL in a decade-long major league career.

Donaldson, a three-time All-Star who broke in with Oakland as a catcher in 2010, averaged 37 home runs and 100 RBIs over his three full seasons with the Blue Jays from 2015-17. They traded him to the Indians for a minor league player in a rental deal at the deadline on Aug. 31, 2018.

So after striking out on the top-tier starting pitchers on the market, settling for bargain-rate deals with Homer Bailey and Rich Hill, the AL Central champion Twins decided instead to double down on their offense.

The Twins set a major league record with 307 home runs last season on the way to the division title and were second in baseball with 939 runs behind the New York Yankees, who swept them in the AL Division Series.

Donaldson will give the Twins a sixth 30-home run hitter from last season, one of two with designated hitter Nelson Cruz who've topped the 40-homer mark at some point in their career. Cruz went deep 41 times last season, his fourth such time meeting that milestone.

The acquisition of Donaldson will allow the Twins to move third baseman Miguel Sanó across the diamond to the opposite corner. Sanó has a powerful arm and is agile for his size, but the 26-year-old slugger who’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 272 pounds ought to be better suited for the long term at first base.

Sanó was at Target Field on Tuesday to finalize a three-year, $30 million contract and told reporters he was more than willing to switch spots, noting he’s worked out at both positions during the offseason. The Twins created a vacancy at first base by not tendering a contract to C.J. Cron, who hit 25 homers in 125 games in 2019 but was hampered by a thumb injury that required offseason surgery. Cron signed with division rival Detroit.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间Shortstop Dansby Swanson and right-hander Mike Foltynewicz were among six Atlanta Braves eligible for salary arbitration who agreed to one-year contracts Friday.

Swanson agreed at $3.15 million and Foltynewicz at $6,425,000. Also reaching deals were outfielder Adam Duvall ($3.25 million), right-hander Luke Jackson ($1,825,000), infielder Johan Camargo ($1.7 million) and left-hander Grant Dayton ($655,000).

The team did not reach an agreement and now faces arbitration with right-hander Shane Greene, who was 0-1 with a 4.01 ERA in 27 games with Atlanta after a midseason move from Detroit, where he was the closer. Greene has filed for a salary of $6.75 million, while Atlanta has offered $6.25 million.

Swanson, who hit a career-high 17 homers despite missing 30 games with a right foot contusion, agreed to a $3.15 million deal for the 2020 season. He earned a big raise from $585,000.

Foltynewicz, who revived his career last season following a demotion to Triple-A Gwinnett, earned $5.5 million in 2018 and enters spring training as one of the top four starters in a rotation that has added Cole Hamels.

The 27-year-old was 8-6 with a 4.54 ERA last season. Atlanta won each of his 12 starts from June 11 through Sept. 20. Despite his resurgence, Foltynewicz ended his season by giving up six runs in his second Division Series start, recording only one out in the decisive 13-1 Game 5 loss.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间Jackson lost the closer's job last season, but it was still a breakout year for the right-hander, who earned a raise from $585,000. He averaged 13.1 strikeouts per nine innings and posted a 3.84 ERA in 70 games.

Duvall could open the season in a left field platoon with Nick Markakis. Duvall hit 10 homers in 41 games with Atlanta following his recall from Triple-A Gwinnett, where he hit 32 homers. He earned $2,875,000 last season.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间Donaldson's decision could be important to Camargo, whose production declined in a utility role in 2019, when he had a $575,000 salary. He hit 19 homers and drove in 76 runs in 2018, when he was the primary third baseman.

2020年欧洲杯赛程详细时间Dayton posted a 3.00 ERA in 14 games while earning $585,000 in his comeback from Tommy John surgery.
